Every project needs a lathe
I love coming up with different ways to use my lathe to help with projects around the house. We needed a better way to hang cloths in the laundry room and I couldn’t find want I wanted at the store. For under $15 I bought a 4′ oak board and a 4′ dowel and made my own custom clothing rack. My wife didn’t want the hangers to be able to slide off the end so I threw each peg on my lathe and made 3 grooves on each. Not only do the grooves prevent hangers from sliding off but they will also keep shirts spaced out so the dry better.
It’s fun finding ways to justify having a great wood lathe in your basement!
