In woodturning, failure should always be an option

It’s common to see people post their best work, but how often do you see the failures?  If you don’t have some bowls, or whatever you make, fall short then you probably aren’t striving to get better.  If failure is a measure of challenging yourself then I must always be stretching!  My goal is to fail early in the process so you don’t have several hours invested.  Once you get attached to a bowl and a chuck of it hits you in the chest, it stings just a little more than usual.

Just of few of the wooden bowls that failed at different stages of the process.
